Hello Everybody!
We are now in December! This is a beautiful month! Christmas is in the air, lights, food, music even the air has a festive cheer and one cannot but help feel happy!
And also feel pretty chilly too! There has been a 'weather bomb' mentioned recently in news headlines, meaning that the temparatures have dropped very quickly! I said this in my last post, and I will say it again.. WRAP UP! Wear your scarf, hat, gloves, earmuffs, thermals, boots and everything else to keep warm!
It has come to that point of time where many of you students will be finished with all your deadlines!
Well now (hopefully) it is all over for you guys and now the time has come to rejoin with your loved ones back home with family and friends :)
Hopefully you have all done your christmas shopping and have your presents already wrapped up! (No worries if you have not done so already! I still have a couple to do myself!)
Now putting aside all the emotional festivity, if you guys really want to make the most out of your December Holidays I have devised a couple of pointers for you to follow if you ever find yourself bored with nothing to do or if you want to be productive with your use of time (Completely Optional!)
Having trouble falling asleep? Make some hot chocolate, for those of you with a sweet tooth (add a tbsp of honey! - trust me it tastes amazig) and pick up any law book of your choice and begin reading. That should do the trick.
Take up a volunteering opportunity within your local area - this could be working a few days a week at a charity shop - devoting even a few hours shows to employers that you are willing to go the extra mile to help others
Lesson No. 8 = Download an educational app! - it could be Sudoku, TedX, KhansAcademy - find at least one and try to learn from it in your spare time - this is a much better way to spend ones time than playing games like candy crush!
In addition to an educational app, find one which can teach you a new language - DuoLingo is a pretty good one! Trying to learn a new language can be great fun and it's a rewarding feeling even to grasp the basics!
Get in touch with a local solicitors firm or even an estate agents (for those of you interested in land law)
Other than that I wish you all a wonderful Christmas and a Prosperous New Year!
